What skills are needed to successfully complete knitting patterns rated Intermediate and Experienced?
ESYSKnits patterns are written for the Intermediate to Advanced knitter. They include, but are not limited to, charts, substitutable shaping directions, concurrent shaping and complex stitch patterning. Advanced knitting techniques can include, but are not limited to, provisional cast on or kitchener rib cast on and bind off, short rows and other alternative shaping techniques. Color change techniques and stranding, alternative finishing techniques such as circular knitting on double pointed needles, lace insertions, knitted facings and knitted on bands are often required. Accurate gauge swatching is recommended. Pattern support is available by email. We will answer any questions regarding yarns used, written instructions or sizing questions. If an error is suspected, we want to hear about it. Use the Contact Form. But, please, do not expect us to provide step by step coaching beyond that provided in pattern instructions.
