Susan Shildmyer With a diverse portfolio of work in the knitting and crochet
industry, my primary focus is designing apparel and home accessory
patterns, as well as producing the model garments for garment
manufacturers, yarn manufacturers and distributers, knitting periodicals
and books.
As a free lance designer, my designs have been produced for Bobby Jones, Talbots, The Gap, Hanai Mori, Northern Isles, Timberland and J. Crew. My
most recent pattern designs have appeared in Knit ‘n’ Style, Creative Knitting, Easy Knitting, Knit It and Create and Decorate. I have
also contributed to several Leisure Arts
project leaflets, Vogue Knitting on the
Go and Embellished Crochet from
Martingale Press. I am a juried gallery fiber artist, experienced teacher and a
proud member of the Association of Knitwear Designers.
